What the Portfolio Manager will do for you:

The main window gives a global overview summary of your portfolio with a listing of your holdings, their current value and the capital profits, dividends and interest you have received to date. Capital profits are apportioned between realised and unrealised gains and also between discountable and non-discountable gains. These net paper profits are calculated assuming selling costs that would be incurred if they were disposed of through your default broker. Also shown are your stop price and stop losses for each security and for the portfolio as a whole.

Your overall portfolio growth rate for the period is displayed along with the growth rate for the securities alone. By clicking a button on screen you can switch this to display performance as cumulative growth for the portfolio as a whole as well as for the securities alone and compare this with your index-based benchmark and your absolute target cumulative growth.

Display important portfolio information automatically on your charts such as flagging the precise time and price of your buys and sells and the value of any holdings, profit as well as how many additional shares you can purchase within the risk criteria you have set.

With a snapshot data feed this display can update up to the minute during the day.

Link one or more bank accounts to any portfolio and the relevant deposits and withdrawals are automatically inserted as you enter the various share transactions. In addition, by recording other normal bank transactions such as capital deposits, withdrawals, bank fees, interest etc you can track and reconcile these accounts.

Specifying a start date and an end date will limit the calculation of profits, growth rate, income and valuations to the period specified and show the state and valuation of your portfolio as it was at that date.

Transactions are of three types:

  1. Security transactions such as buy, sell, exercise, calls, merge, demerge, reconstructions etc.
  2. Income transactions for share dividends, trust and fund distributions etc.
  3. Account transactions such as capital deposits and withdrawals, interest etc.
Printed reports include a Portfolio Summary, Statements for Bank Accounts, Dividend Statements and Security Transactions, Capital Gains, Profitability of Trades, Traders Closing Stock, Traders Sales and Costs, Miscellaneous Income and Expenses.

Wrap several individual portfolios into a single combined portfolio for an overall view of your total holdings.

A Risk Calculator is included as a tool for money management calculations to limit specific risk.
